PISCATAWAY – Shane Burnham believes in the laws of nature when it comes to size.
Rutgers new defensive line coach isn’t about to completely scrap the long-standing program philosophy of recruiting relatively smaller, quicker ends that was born in the Big East, but the former SEC linebacker does believe that bigger can be better in the trenches of the Big Ten.
“I’m willing to go a little smaller if they can make up for it with a quick first step,” Burnham said of his future recruits, “but I think at some point size matters.
