The newly-instituted August dead period has forced some recruits to push their recruitment back to the fall, while it's sped up the timeframe for others. Thursday, Stanley King, the Woodrow Wilson (Camden, N.J.) 6-6, 190-pound three-star wide receiver and Under Armour All-American, released his college announcement date: August 15.
Last Wednesday, the rising senior released his top five list of schools, of which Rutgers was included. Rutgers has a long history with King as it was one of the first schools to offer and at one time had his older brother, Travon, committed.
