At some point in the 2019 season, Rutgers could have three Hayek brothers playing in the same wide receiver corps.
For now, Hunter Hayek is the lone brother seeing playing time while Tyler Hayek is redshirting and Jaaron Hayek (a 2019 commit) is enjoying his junior campaign at Wayne Hills High School.
"(Hunter) is a smart, dependable, tough player,'' Rutgers coach Chris Ash said last month. "That's what we like about him. We thought he would be that when we recruited him, and he's been exactly that.''
A 5-9, 170-pounder who tallied 1,233 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns, including 896 yards receiving and 14 touchdown receptions during his senior campaign at Wayne Hills last fall, Hunter Hayek has exceeded expectations as a true freshman for the Scarlet Knights.
