This week, the Rutgers Board of Governors gave final approval to start construction on the much needed Multi-Sport Practice Facility. With a massive fundraising campaign underway from Athletic Director Pat Hobbs and Senior Associate Athletic Director Sarah Baumgartner, Rutgers quickly raised 70 million dollars toward their 100 million dollar goal.
That’s massive. However, the announced price ticket of the facilities will come to around 115 million, which means fans have to do more.
This afternoon, Rutgers fundraising captain Jon Newman stepped in.
And that’s when things got interesting. As happens, the tweet picked up steam and caught the eyes of some of Rutgers’ major donors—who jumped on board with a ton of ton of enthusiasm.
