The reason Jerry Kill thinks Rutgers 'will play well against Maryland' | Practice report

PISCATAWAY -- Either the Rutgers passing offense or the Maryland passing defense is about to have a change of fortunes.

A head-to-head battle between two units ranked last in the Big Ten is the matchup within the matchup Saturday as Rutgers faces Maryland.

Rutgers only has passed for just 290 yards over its last three games since inserting Giovanni Rescigno as the starting quarterback. With a 2-1 record in that span, Rutgers' average has slipped to 129.5 passing yards per game.
