It appears Gio Rescigno may be in line for a special homecoming to end his collegiate career.
The Rutgers redshirt senior quarterback and Michigan native spent more time with the first-team offense than he has in some time in practice Tuesday as the Scarlet Knights began preparation for Saturday's season finale at Michigan State.
Head coach Chris Ash said earlier in the day during the Big Ten coaches teleconference no decision on a starting quarterback had been made. But Rescigno's increased reps with the starters does suggest there is a good chance he will get the nod against the Spartans.
