Recruiting has been quiet over the past month as it is this time of year with college teams preparing for camp and the season just weeks away. Coaches have been on vacation with the dead period in effect as it lessens their ability to interact with recruits.
The dead period began on June 25, lasting approximately 30 days. During that time, staffs faced the following restrictions, according to NCAA.org:
During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools.
