Somewhere between eating a famed boli at Stuff Yer Face and cracking jokes about two Texans in New Jersey with offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer, Zach Allen began picturing a future at Rutgers.
The TCU transfer liked what he saw in his mind and on campus during a visit last weekend enough that Wednesday he committed to Rutgers. It instantly shook up the quarterback battle because he can play right away as a graduate student with two years of eligibility remaining.
“For me, it was a big deal to get around the players and the coaches and see who I fit best with,” Allen said.
