Talking fundraising, facilities and goals for Rutgers football in 2017 | Q&A with AD Pat Hobbs

On the first day he arrived at his Rutgers Athletic Center office to start his job as the Rutgers athletics director, Pat Hobbs gathered the entire staff together and offered a simple message:

“I said to everyone that was assembled that we’ve been in a negative-feedback loop for a long time. That stops today,’’ Hobbs recalled. “That stops in the way we think about what we’re doing, and how we talk about what we’re doing, and we’re one team moving forward. It’s not a question of if we’re going to accomplish some of the goals that we’re setting, but it’s going to be about when.
