Rutgers' quest to sure up the quarterback position continues, as the staff recently offered Maasai Maynor, a 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore who played behind 2017 signee Johnathan Lewis at St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.).
Ironically, Lewis played a part in Maynor receiving the offer as he put his young teammate through a workout in front of the Rutgers staff, during a visit to prep last Wednesday.
"They came to the school last Wednesday and they saw me throw," Maynor told NJ.com. "I threw to John Lewis so he told me like what to do, like seven step, three step, roll out.
