The Rutgers coaching staff will have at least two new faces in 2018.
Four days after offensive coordinator Jerry Kill retired, defensive line coach Shane Burnham resigned with plans to take another job after two seasons at Rutgers, NJ Advance Media has confirmed.
ScarletNation.com first reported that Burnham is leaving to take the same post at Central Florida, which just hired Josh Heupel as head coach when Scott Frost left for Nebraska on the heels of an undefeated regular season.
Burnham, who welcomed his fourth child with his wife during the season, is a Florida native whose father Wally was a longtime defensive coordinator most known for his contributions at Florida State under Bobby Bowden.
