The Rutgers wrestling program is sending five national qualifiers to the 2021 national championships, the seventh consecutive year under head coach Scott Goodale that at least that many Scarlet Knights were selected.
After last weekend’s Big Ten Tournament saw Sebastian Rivera (141), Michael VanBrill (149) and John Poznanski (184) all punch their tickets by finishing in third place in their individual weight classes, Rutgers had two wrestlers receive at-large bids on Tuesday. Jackson Turley (174) and Billy Janzer (197) will be wrestling along with their three teammates in St. Louis on March 18-20.
Seeding and brackets for this year’s NCAA Championships will be announced on Wednesday, March 10 during the NCAA’s selection show at 6 p.
