Rutgers wrestling finished fourth nationally in average home attendance for the 2017-18 season, according to The Open Mat.
The Scarlet Knights averaged 4,680 fans at its seven home dual meets this past season. That average puts Rutgers behind only Iowa (8,996), Penn State (7,693) and Ohio State (6,681) nationally and ahead of prominent programs like Lehigh and Oklahoma State.
Rutgers' overall attendance average includes its outdoor dual meet against Maryland at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway in November. The Scarlet Knights averaged 5,070 fans in attendance at its six indoor dual meets at the Rutgers Athletics Center.
