Monday, Aliquippa (Pa.) senior wide receiver Will Gipson -- a player Rutgers has recruited hard over the past couple months -- decommitted from Ball State, and the Scarlet Knights appear to be the biggest beneficiary of his decision. Gipson tells NJ Advance Media that Rutgers is now the team on top, with Pitt, Michigan State and Iowa State the other programs in contention. However, Rutgers is the only program of the bunch to offer so far.
The 6-3, 170-pound receiver comes from a competitive program in Western Pa. He has good length, a strong skill-set and is a big-time play-maker averaging over 28 yards per catch.
