Rutgers Women’s Soccer hold their own over the weekend

The Rutgers Women’s soccer team had a successful outing this past weekend. The team continued on their road to the playoffs as they took on Purdue at home on Thursday and Indiana away on Sunday. The number 24 ranked Rutgers team improved to 9-3-2 on the season following the two games this weekend. They are on the road again this week, traveling to Penn State then to Ohio State.

In the game on Thursday against Purdue, the Scarlet Knights showed their skills in overtime for the fifth time this season. Rutgers was unable to score in the first half against Purdue, but it was junior Colby Ciarrocca who was able to put one past the Purdue goalkeeper at the 63rd minute to bring the score up to 1-1.
