Rutgers Women’s Soccer Fighting For The Postseason

Related Topics: Big Ten Conference, Senior day

The Rutgers women’s soccer team celebrated senior night on Saturday, finishing in a scoreless draw with Nebraska in their last home game of the regular season. Rutgers outshot the Cornhuskers 17-9 in the game and they came close to scoring a few times, including hitting the crossbar twice. It was the program’s record ninth overtime match of the season.

Rutgers now stands at 9-2-6 overall and 4-1-5 in Big Ten play. They are currently tied with Michigan for fourth place with 17 points and have just one regular season game remaining. Michigan owns the tiebreaker over Rutgers, courtesy of their 3-2 overtime victory back in late September.
