After winning both games last weekend to open the season, the Rutgers women’s soccer team faced it’s most challenging opponent yet on Thursday night against St. Joseph’s Both teams entered the game with a 2-0 record and the Hawks are coming off a 11-6-2 campaign in 2017. They became the first team to lead Rutgers this season, as Mackenzie Ehresman headed in a free kick from Paige Bergman to give St. Joe’s the lead in the 41st minute of action.
After trailing at the break, the Scarlet Knights were able to tie the game in the 66th minute when senior captain Kenie Wright sent a corner kick into the box and junior Amanda Visco was able to finish for the score.
