The Rutgers women’s basketball team suffered a 60-46 defeat to Minnesota (15-7; 4-7) on Sunday afternoon in a game they struggled shooting in all phases of the game. While they held a 7 point lead in the third quarter, the Golden Gophers surged ahead behind a 13-2 run and never looked back. It was a five point game with less than six minutes to play, but Minnesota finished the game on a 15-6 run.
The Scarlet Knights shot only 35.7% from the floor, including just 3 of 19 from three-point range (15.8%) and 5 of 10 from the free throw line.
