PISCATAWAY – When the Rutgers women’s basketball team won the WNIT in 2014, it was supposed to be a launching pad for a return to glory.
Instead, after advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, Rutgers is back in the WNIT for the second time in three seasons.
Rutgers will host Georgetown at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rutgers Athletic Center, with the winner advancing to face the winner of Virginia-VCU sometime between Saturday and Tuesday.
For 3rd time in 4 years, @Rutgerswbb is not going to NCAA Tournament.
