Maybe it was a slip of the tongue. Or perhaps Chris Ash simply said what he believed.
Either way, the Rutgers coach conceded this week's game against Maryland is bigger than most as his team tries to get into bowl contention.
"Next game obviously against Maryland is a very big game,'' Ash said Monday during his weekly press conference.

Like most coaches, Ash typically doesn't put any added emphasis on the next opponent, knowing that technically each game counts the same in the overall standings. But it's hard to look at this Saturday's matchup against Maryland as anything but "very big.
