Nebraska was coming off a 3-6-1 record when it hired Bob Devaney as head coach in 1962. That team started 6-0, giving a jolt of energy to the football program and starting a streak of 358 consecutive sellouts. That's right, for 358 straight home games the fine people of Nebraska (and the surrounding states) have filled their home stadium, and while observers in Lincoln expect more than a few empty seats on Saturday, this is going to be an intimidating atmosphere for the Scarlet Knights.
So how will a team that relies on so many young players -- 13 true freshmen and counting have played this season -- deal with an intimidating atmosphere like this?
