PISCATAWAY -- Rutgers is playing Maryland on its home field, but will there be a true-home field advantage?
That depends on the size of the crowd, which is the great variable entering the noon Saturday matchup.
Rutgers fans were so disillusioned when this game originally was scheduled for Yankee Stadium on an agreement reached in 2015 that it contributed to season tickets declining by 16 percent. You essentially could call it a boycott.

Per an athletics department policy on advance ticket numbers, Rutgers declined to share a tickets sold or distributed number with NJ Advance Media this week, but the Yankees didn't mind tearing up contract to let the game return to High Point Solutions Stadium when it looked like there would be a World Series played in the Bronx.
