Rutgers tight end Charles Scarff to transfer, per source

The logjam of Rutgers tight ends is starting to sort itself out as junior Charles Scarff is transferring, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Scarff played in all 12 games last season and led the tight ends with 14 catches for 100 yards and one touchdown despite being employed as the third option in a three-man rotation with redshirt junior Matt Flanagan and senior Nick Arcidiacono.

Anthony Folkerts, who was further down the tight end depth chart, decided to transfer during spring practice. Folkerts has not yet found a new home.
