Heading into the Big Ten Tournament, the Rutgers women's basketball team figured to need at least one win to have any hopes for an NCAA Tournament berth.

The Scarlet Knights accomplished that Thursday afternoon, surviving a second-round thriller thanks to Tyler Scaife, whose jumper with four seconds to play snapped a deadlock and resulted in a 62-60 triumph in the 8-9 game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

"I wanted the ball in my hands, so I went and got it,'' Scaife said. "I'm not afraid of the moment. My teammates believe in me, and so does the coaching staff.
