There was hope in and around the Rutgers men's basketball program that Corey Sanders would return for his senior season. But after the guard announced Thursday he will declare for the 2018 NBA Draft and intends to hire an agent, head coach Steve Pikiell threw his full support behind the move.
"I'd like to personally thank Corey for his contributions to our program over the last three years," Pikiell said in a statement released by the school. The coach is currently at the Final Four in San Antonio for the NABC Convention.
