SPOILER ALERT: The quarterback controversy at Rutgers is over.
Oh, it's not officially over, and sure, it's good fun to debate the pros and cons of the three players competing for the job. My esteemed colleagues Ryan Dunleavy and Keith Sargeant made strong cases for Gio Rescigno and Johnathan Lewis, respectively, but they are holding losing hands.
I would be stunned if anyone other than Kyle Bolin -- baring an injury -- starts the season opener against Washington. Chris Ash has no reason to make an announcement this soon, but Bolin has to be considered the strong favorite given his overall resume, his performance this summer and a few significant advantages over the competition.
