Rutgers snaps four-game losing streak by beating Army

Late November in the Big Ten is normally reserved for rivalry games and championship pushes. So when Rutgers ventured out of conference for a game at Army in the second-to-last game of the season, it elicited a giant yawn from just about everybody but the two teams involved. Especially since it was a matchup of three-win squads.

But the game was played, and the Scarlet Knights aren’t going to complain about it after a 31-21 victory, their first in more than a month.

Rutgers built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, though the Black Knights threatened to make it a one-score game a couple of times.
