Rutgers Scarlet Knights fire Eddie Jordan after three seasons

Rutgers has parted ways with Eddie Jordan after three seasons, sources told ESPN.

Jordan, 61, took over the program in 2013 following the firing of Mike Rice. Rice was with the Scarlet Knights for three seasons before ESPN's Outside the Lines aired footage of him verbally abusing and throwing balls at his players during practices.

Jordan coached one season in the American Athletic Conference and two seasons in the Big Ten. He was 29-68 overall after the Scarlet Knights struggled to a 7-25 record in 2015-16. They finished last in the Big Ten, winning just one conference game.
