NEW YORK -- Say this about Rutgers: Every team on the schedule that the Scarlet Knights were expected to beat, they did just that so far this season.
Thanks to a soft non-conference schedule, Rutgers now stands at 11-1 following a 68-53 thumping of Fordham on Sunday afternoon before 8,200 fans at Madison Square Garden in the Holiday Festival.
And now the real test begins for a Rutgers team that's off to its best start in 31 years.
In its lone litmus test to date, the Scarlet Knights were non-competitive in falling 73-61 at Miami in late November.
