It started so promisingly. Rutgers marched down the field on the first drive which, somewhat surprisingly, included more passes than runs as the Scarlet Knights took a 7-0 lead. The offense mustered just a field goal after that as Kyle Bolin and the passing game struggled mightily. Bolin completed 15 of 29 passes for 126 yards with two touchdowns. The leading receiver, Dacoven Bailey, had just 38 yards. Not nearly good enough. GRADE: D.
It was, in n a word, anemic. Gus Edwards had 15 carries for 58 yards, and overall, the Rutgers rushing attack that dominated Morgan State was nonexistent.
