Rutgers Report: Bye week provides Chop Nation a pause to ponder

Rutgers’ bye week provides a pause to ponder what has happened and what’s ahead for the Scarlet Knights.

This time last season Rutgers was 3-1—and 1 play away (against Penn State) from being 4-0. Now at 2-2, the Knights are a far different team.
To date, the Scarlet Knights have won the games they HAD to win. They lost a toss-up and got hammered in another game that dramatically exposed their flaws. Upcoming contests may be hard to predict due to problems at several positions.

The Knight’s two biggest defensive threats are underperforming. Kemoko Turay made a superhuman block of a Michigan field goal last year that gave Rutgers its first Big Ten victory.
