This past Saturday Rutgers won a football game. Whoo hoo! It was the first win in a month—but it wasn’t pretty. Quarterback Chris Laviano hasn’t thrown a touchdown in five consecutive games. Paul James—who was last season’s’ lead running back until a knee injury sidelined him—ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns.
Early in the game, it became obvious the Scarlet Knights would overwhelm Army’s 2-9 Black Knights on a perfect football day at West Points’ Michie Stadium. Army’s team has little to cheer about this year and hope to salvage a little dignity by beating Navy’s Midshipmen December 12.
