PISCATAWAY -- Robert Martin averaged five yards per carry on 21 rushes Saturday, but none of those attempts came in the two situations where five yards would've made all the difference for Rutgers.
Martin was used as a blocker on four quarterback runs -- two by Tylin Oden and two by Chris Laviano -- during a first-half goal-line series and on Rutgers' final offensive snap of the game when wide receiver Jawuan Harris took a hand-off in motion.
"I wasn't surprised," Martin said when asked if he was surprised he didn't get the call in either situation.
