PISCATAWAY — The biggest change about Rutgers quarterback Hayden Rettig from spring practice to the first week of training camp is his comfort level.
The offense appeared to be moving too fast for Rettig during spring practice, as the LSU transfer tried to shake off the rust of spending two seasons running scout teams. Rettig's prodigious arm strength was negated by his indecisiveness in the pocket as he struggled to read the defense during the spring.
While Rettig remains a work in progress, the redshirt sophomore has made obvious strides in training camp.
