PISCATAWAY -- Since earning the Rutgers starting quarterback job one month ago, Giovanni Rescigno has completed less than 50 percent of his passes (30-for-61) and averaged 96 passing yards.
But the fourth-year junior is 3-1 as Rutgers' starting quarterback, engineering a mostly mistake-free offense that is anything-but-pretty.
"I don't really care at all if I threw for 20 yards as long as we won the game,'' Rescigno said Saturday after throwing for 107 yards on 8-for-17 passing and tossing a touchdown in a 31-24 triumph over Maryland.
"You don't have to throw for 300 yards and win a game.
