Rutgers QB commit Johnathan Lewis expects to play next weekend, despite injury scare

Saturday, Rutgers coaches and fans held their collective breath as class of 2017 quarterback Johnathan Lewis went down with a neck injury, in a game against Lincoln, held at High Point Solutions Stadium.

"After I ran it in for a touchdown, we went for a two-point conversion. And it was a pass play. I was sprinting out to throw it, and then I saw an opening -- because both of our wide receivers were covered -- and I tried to take it," Lewis, the 6-4, 225-pound St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.
