After a year of listening to Rutgers football strength and conditioning coordinator Kenny Parker talk about acting like a pro, Andre Patton finally understands the message.
Patton signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent and is headed to training camp with the team today. The former Rutgers wide receiver survived cuts after rookie mini-camp and OTAs, but he still has to beat the odds again to make the 53-man roster.
"Going in there, I didn't know what to expect," Patton told NJ Advance Media, "but I felt like I was well prepared, especially with Coach Parker coming in last year and teaching us a lot about finding a routine, taking care of your body and being a pro.
