Rutgers practice report: RT Kamaal Seymour nipping at J.J. Denman's heels

PISCATAWAY -- Considering how quickly he has progressed as a Rutgers offensive lineman, it's ironic to hear Kamaal Seymour explain the difference in footwork between his new position and his old one.

"You are going backwards," Seymour said. "On the D-line, all you do is go forward."

Seymour has taken plenty of metaphorical steps forward since switching sides of the line of scrimmage to play right tackle in the final week of training camp.

Despite never playing a snap on offensive line in high school, the redshirt freshman proactively suggested the position change to coach Chris Ash.
