Rutgers coach Chris Ash needs to hire a new offensive coordinator following Drew Mehringer's departure for a co-coordinator position at Texas. Mehringer was earning $450,000 per year, so Rutgers should be able to pay a competitive salary.
With that in mind, here's a list of 16 preliminary candidates keeping in mind personal ties to Ash, experience and familiarity with a spread offense Ash has shown that he is not adverse to hiring without ties to New Jersey and promoting someone to a career-high position on the ladder.
