When Jerry Kill was hospitalized in September, Chris Ash revealed he had a contingency plan in place for if and when Rutgers offensive coordinator's epilepsy symptoms became an issue.
It wasn't needed then as Kill returned after missing only a day's work. He didn't miss any ensuing games, either.
But given that Ash prides himself on preparation, he certainly won't be starting from scratch if Kill decides to retire because of his health. Signs are pointing that way, and Rutgers has prepared the team and the recruits for the possibility, with a final decision expected before the new early signing period begins Wednesday.
