PISCATAWAY -- Jerry Kill understands Rutgers' struggles in the pass game better than anyone, and the Scarlet Knights offensive coordinator isn't putting the blame on quarterback Giovanni Rescigno or on the team's inexperienced stable of wide receivers.
"I'll never blame a player,'' said Kill, who oversees a pass offense that ranks 125th nationally at 118.6 yards-per-game.
"I gotta find a way to do a better job of getting us to execute throwing the ball better. There's no doubt about that.''
It's a bold statement from the highest-paid Rutgers assistant in program history, but not surprising.
