And he said those words Monday, after Rutgers lost to Purdue in the box score but won on the scoreboard where it counts.

Yards don't always equal points and victories, but it's usually a good indicator. So for Rutgers to win despite getting out-gained 474-217, there had to be some other factors at work like turnovers and special teams.
