PISCATAWAY -- After 251 college football games as a head coach and dozens of others as a coordinator during a 34-year career, Jerry Kill felt some jitters before kickoff Friday night.
Not only was Kill making his Rutgers debut.
Not only was he coaching as an assistant for the first time since 1993.
Kill was back on the sidelines in an official capacity for the first time since Oct. 17, 2015 when he led Minnesota against Nebraska. Eleven days later, he abruptly retired because of symptoms of epilepsy, including recurring seizures.
