Fresh off Sunday’s thrilling 14-10 victory over then #12th ranked Syracuse, the Rutgers men’s lacrosse team improved 7 spots in this week’s Inside Lacrosse media poll, which were released on Monday.
Rutgers is now 3-1 on the season against ranked opponents. The Scarlet Knights lost to #13 Army (5-2), but own victories over #12 Lehigh (6-2), who they defeated last week on the road 8-7, as well #14 Robert Morris (5-2), who Rutgers beat in the season opener, and #15 Syracuse (3-3).
In the Big Ten, Maryland (6-1) is ranked #2 in this week’s poll, while Johns Hopkins is #9.
