The five-year journey will end on the podium at the NCAA Wrestling Championships on Saturday for Rutgers' Kenny Theobold.
Theobold, a senior who took his redshirt last season, defeated Wisconsin's Andrew Crone, 7-3, in the blood round on Friday night to clinch All-American status at 149 pounds.
Theobold jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, then eased his way to the victory.
