There are several terms that could come to mind when examining Rutgers' defensive effort the past two games.
Defensive coordinator Jay Niemann refuted two of them Monday at the end of his weekly press conference.
"It's not all broken. It's broken in pieces in certain times," Niemann said in the wake of another ugly defeat, this one last Saturday's 42-13 home loss to Buffalo. "Guys need to do their jobs better, we've got to coach them better, prepare them better. It's all of us. It's a 'we' thing, not any one person.
"To sit there and say when you look at the film it's just a complete disaster, no, I don't agree with that.
