After seven months of negotiations for a new apparel and athletic accessories company, Rutgers in February announced a six-year pact with adidas.
On Saturday, July 1, Rutgers' adidas deal through the 2023-24 school year officially begins. It impacts every Rutgers varsity sport for which adidas provides equipment, apparel or footwear.
What it means is the familiar Nike swoosh has been scrubbed away from all Scarlet Knights uniforms. In its place is the adidas three-stripe logo.
