On Monday night, 3-star athlete Te’Rai Powell from St. Joseph’s Regional became the ninth player committed to the 2020 recruiting class for Rutgers football. He joins high school teammate Elijuwan Mack, who committed to the program last month.
Powell plays on both sides of the ball at St. Joe’s, the top ranked team in New Jersey last season, but was recruited as a cornerback by Rutgers. His speed and size give him a chance to develop into an impact player at that position at the next level.
The 6’0”, 190 pound 3-star prospect held additional FBS offers from Army, Navy, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and UMASS per 247 Sports.
