PISCATAWAY – The focus on Rutgers football is about to shift back to passes and tackles.
After an offseason of upheaval that began with former coach Kyle Flood’s firing and hit a new gear when successor Chris Ash implemented wholesale changes — a new coaching staff, a new offseason training regimen and a new look to the Hale Center — Rutgers is about to retake the field.
Spring practice opens Thursday and continues three times a week through the annual Scarlet-White game at 7 p.m. April 23.
