Chris Ash has made it clear that he has lofty expectations for his 2017 recruiting class, and has followed it up by bringing in some of the top players in New Jersey. But as a first year head coach, he likely knows how difficult it can be to develop an out-of-state recruiting base.
However, he and his staff continued to take steps in the right direction on Monday, offering several talented recruits from outside the Garden State. Here's a look at the newest offerees as Ash looks to expand the "State of Rutgers."
DT Jaylen Twyman (Washington, DC)
Twyman is a three-star interior lineman, and 247Sports has him as the fourth-ranked recruit from the District.
